Officers:

Robert Goss (President) has over 13 years of documentary production experience. Recent credits include supervising editor of the film The Gifts of Grief, which explores the transformational possibilities of loss and will air on PBS. Mr. Goss was line producer and editor for Last Chance for Eden, a two-film series about racism and gender issues. He has served as production manager and technical coordinator for Stir Fry Seminars and Consulting, the production company of the Last Chance for Eden series, who also produced The Color of Fear, now considered a classic on race relations. Mr. Goss was an editor for The Color of Fear, winner of the Golden Apple award in the National Educational Film Festival, and also edited the companion film, Walking Each other Home: The Color of Fear II. He has served as Associate Producer and Researcher for KQED Public Television, Current Affairs Department. Mr. Goss was a founder and long-serving board member of the non-profit Berkeley Community Media, which provides Public, Education, and Government access television to the city of Berkeley. Mr. Goss graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a degree in Political Science, and has lived in the East Bay for 30 years. He resides with his wife and daughter in Oakland.

Scott Pearson [resume/demo clips] (Secretary/Treasurer) has won the DuPont-Columbia Award, the Investigative Reporters and Editors Award, the World Affairs Council International Journalism Award, and three Northern California regional Emmy Awards, among other honors, during a 30-year career that has seen him produce documentaries and investigative news series on PBS, CBS, FOX, and MSNBC, and as a staff producer for KRON and KQED in San Francisco and KCTS in Seattle. Mr. Pearson has taught at the Graduate School of Journalism at UC, Berkeley and at New Mexico State University. He has most recently produced Battlefronts for the WWII series The Perilous Fight, seen on PBS and Channel Four in England, and the 2-hour High Definition PBS special Exploring Space: The Quest for Life. Mr. Pearson's other documentary work includes Shield for Abuse (on police brutality), Your Money or Your Life (on health insurance), Ties That Bind (on union organizing), Brazil's IOU (on the Third World debt crisis), and the PBS series Livelyhood and We Do The Work. Mr. Pearson has also previously worked as a video producer in the investment banking and high tech industries. He lives in Oakland.

Board Members:

Roberto Almanzan is a multicultural consultant, trainer and facilitator with a special emphasis on developing cultural competency, cross-cultural communication skills, conflict management and team building in diverse environments.

Rev. Samuel Anderson has more than 30 years of experience as a businessman, community organizer, video producer, and neighborhood leader in Oakland.

Nancee Sobonya is a documentary filmmaker and is a spiritual and grief counselor and educator.
